Quilt Show at the Fairgrounds in Watsonville
February 28, 2004
It was a "first" quilt show for some of us and we had a blast!  Even though we didn't win any of the raffles we still learned a lot and bought a lot.  It was hard not to touch the quilts and luckily, none of us got our hands slapped by the ladies in white gloves!  When's the next show???
Left: You can't see it, but the quilting was like the little boats were on the sea.  Sky and clouds were
at the top and you could also make out sandy beaches.  Too bad Julee didn't get a close-up of it.

Middle: All blocks were made from old Harley Davidson t-shirts.

Right: Beautiful appliqued hollyhocks by Coni Hendry.  Her husband, Dick, used to work for
Julee's father-in-law.  He passed away in 2003 from Lou Gehrig's disease.
Upper Left: Cute chicken quilt.  Nothing like that damn chicken quilt!  Hehe!

Lower Left: Very cool Egyptian quilt.  Click picture to see close-ups of the fabric and the hieroglyphics.

Above: Pastel Blocks.  Looks sort of 3D.
Below are some of the quilts we saw at the show.  Wow!
Left: Linda, Mary and Les.   Right: Les, Linda, Becky, Julee and Mary.
