This Purple Passion Double Irish Chain quilt was made by Mary from the pattern by Joan Hanson in The Simple Joys of Quilting book. Mary made it for her granddaughter, Isabella, for Christmas 2004. She made a pillow sham to match and a matching quilt for Isabella's new Baby Hugs Care Bear.
Machine quilted flowers are in the center of each white block, elsewhere was stitch-in-the-ditch and the edges were scallop stitched.
